Sara and Philip's Wedding Organisation
I've been asked about various services I used for my wedding. All the people I dealt with while organising it were totally wonderful, and I'd highly recommend them.
Dress
Halo Bridal in Crows Nest: http://sydney.citysearch.com.au/E/V/SYDNE/0062/96/37/
Was the first place I went to, and I ended up picking the 3rd dress I put on! Really nice people and excellent service. They had a tailor available who adjusted the dress to fit me properly, and also sewed me the jacket I wore on top of it from the same fabric.
Venue
Villa Rosa in Leichhardt: http://www.villarosa.com.au/
Beautiful venue, and wonderful people! Couldn't recommend them more. They organised the cake, the flowers and candles on the tables, the table and chair decorations and of course, the food. We just picked what we wanted (menu and colour scheme). They also organised a DJ and MCed for the night. They let us come in and set up the sofreh[1] the day before, which made things a lot less stressful on the day. We had both the ceremony and reception here.
Flowers
Sweetheart florist in the mall at Bondi Junction.
Very close to where I used to work at the time, they organised beautiful bouquets for me, the bridesmaid and the flower girl. They delivered it to my parents home just before the ceremony. Very happy with their services
Photographer
My photographer was Tracy Yap http://www.eclektic.com.au who I met through our videographer Lyra. She took really really beautiful photos, and photographed the whole thing, from getting ready at my parents house, till I threw the bouquet. She also helped me plan the whole day! She's lovely and again, would not hesitate to recommend her.
Videographer
Lyra Hui did the videography for our wedding. She was wonderful on the day! Unfortunately I can't find her website, but I'll pass on her contact details if you're interested.
Hair and Makeup
A lady called Heidi did my makeup just before the ceremony. She came to my parents house to do it, which was really very convenient. She's a friend of a make up artist my mum met at the cosmetics area in Myer Chatswood. I can probably dig up her contact details if you're interested. She was fantastic, did it just the way I like it (even though I had no idea what I wanted before she started!).
Invitations, Place cards, Favours and the Sofreh
My mum handcrafted all of the above. She's amazing!
[1] A sofreh is a spread we put out in front of the bride and groom at a Persian wedding. It forms an integral part of the ceremony.
